The Tacoma Freedom Fair Airshow

An annual staple of the Pacific Northwest’s Fourth of July weekend celebration, the Tacoma Freedom Fair Airshow combines family-friendly aviation entertainment, live music, food, and classic car shows. Incredible, historic aircraft will be on hand for onlookers and aviation enthusiasts alike, including a restored P-51C Mustang, Harvard, TA-4J Skyhawk, and more. Stay for the finale, which will bring together the West Coast Ravens in their homemade Van’s RV-type airplanes. Listen to the live broadcast here.

2015 National Championship Air Races

The last event of its kind, the National Championship Air Races are held every year in Reno, Nevada since 1964 (the only interruption occurred immediately following the September 11, 2001 attacks). An institution among aviation enthusiasts, the desert skies of northern Reno become home to hundreds of racing aircraft with thousands of spectators watching from below. Six racing classes and dozens of stationary aircraft will be on hand for all to see.

A patriotic, educational, and supremely entertaining week in one of the most beautiful cities in America, San Francisco Fleet Week is a great destination for fans of military history, Naval ships, and military aircraft from all branches. Visitors flock to Marina Green to watch the parade of ships in this port city, once a critical launching pad for the Allied advance into the Pacific in World War II. Honoring the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces throughout history, events include Blue Angel practice flights, the Parade of Ships, air shows, festivals, ship tours, and finishes off with a high school band challenge on October 12th.
